Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations and the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world. Located at an altitude of about 2,286 meters, this natural wonder is often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.”
Formed millions of years ago, the crater is about 20 kilometers wide, 600 meters deep, and covers an area of approximately 300 square kilometers. The crater floor lies about 2,000 feet below the rim and features open grasslands, water sources, and forest areas that support a rich variety of wildlife.
This unique natural enclosure is home to over 30,000 animals, making it one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the few places where you can see the endangered Black Rhino in its natural habitat.
During your safari, you may see a wide range of animals, including buffalo, elephants, zebras, and wildebeest, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Hippos can also be found in the crater’s water pools, adding to the incredible wildlife experience.

Begin your journey with a pickup from Arusha and travel to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. Often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” this природal marvel is the largest unbroken and unflooded volcanic caldera on Earth.
Formed over two million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption, the crater spans approximately 19 kilometers in diameter, with steep walls rising up to 600 meters high. Inside this unique природal enclosure lies a rich and diverse ecosystem, including open grasslands, acacia forests, and freshwater swamps filled with hippos.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to more than 30,000 animals, offering one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Africa. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, warthogs, flamingos, and a wide variety of bird species. The crater is also one of the few places where you can spot the endangered Black Rhino in its natural habitat.
Predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs are commonly seen roaming the crater floor, making this safari an unforgettable experience for wildlife lovers.
