This first evening allows you to relax, recover from your journey, and prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead.

Early in the morning, after breakfast at your hotel in Arusha between 07:30 and 08:00, you will be picked up by your professional driver-guide from Adhama Adventures and depart for Arusha National Park.

Despite being one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, Arusha National Park offers incredible biodiversity, with lush forests, open savannahs, volcanic landscapes, and abundant wildlife, making it a perfect introduction to the northern safari circuit.

Discover Tarangire – The River of Warthogs

The name “Tarangire” originates from the Mbugwe language, where “Tara” means river and “Ngire” means warthogs—together meaning “the river of warthogs.”

At the heart of Tarangire National Park lies the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts large concentrations of wildlife, especially during the dry season. This permanent water source supports both herbivores and carnivores, making it one of the best places to observe natural predator-prey interactions.

Safari Experience

Enjoy a picnic lunch served inside Serengeti National Park, surrounded by the sounds and scenery of the African wilderness. After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive across the vast plains, where you may encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other iconic wildlife species.

As the sun begins to set, drive back through the park toward your accommodation, enjoying final wildlife sightings along the way.

Early in the morning after breakfast at your accommodation inside Serengeti National Park, you will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes approximately 4 hours and offers scenic views of Tanzania’s northern highlands along the way.

Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a globally recognized geo-park, formed by a massive volcanic collapse millions of years ago. It is one of the most remarkable natural wildlife areas in Africa.

Before descending into the crater, you will stop at a designated viewpoint where you can admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the crater floor below. This is one of the most iconic photo opportunities in Tanzania.

Early in the morning after breakfast at your lodge in Karatu (around 07:30–08:00), you will depart for Lake Eyasi with your professional guide from Adhama Adventures.

The journey takes you through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro highlands, offering views of rural villages, farms, and traditional Tanzanian life along the way.

Lake Eyasi is located in the southeast of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and is home to the famous Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa.

Cultural Experience

Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about the traditional lifestyle of the Hadzabe people, including their hunting techniques, survival skills, and deep connection with nature. This is a rare and authentic cultural experience that offers insight into one of Africa’s oldest ways of life.

Early in the morning after breakfast at your lodge in Karatu (around 07:30–08:00), you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park with your guide from Adhama Adventures. The drive takes approximately one hour to the park gate.

Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most scenic parks, known for its rich birdlife and unique tree-climbing lions. The park covers about 325 square kilometers, with a large portion made up of the shallow alkaline lake that dominates the ecosystem.

The lake attracts a wide variety of bird species, both migratory and resident, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. Common sightings include flamingos, pelicans, storks, herons, cranes, secretary birds, and ground hornbills, among many others.

Early in the morning after breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will depart for a scenic drive to Materuni Village, located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This experience is one of the most refreshing day trips in northern Tanzania and is ideal before or after a safari adventure.

The journey to Materuni Waterfalls begins with a gentle guided walk through lush green landscapes. The trail can be slightly sloping in some sections, but it is rewarding with beautiful scenery and fresh mountain air.

Village Walk & Waterfall Experience
