Day-by-day itinerary
Arrival in Arusha · Gran Meliá Arusha
Meet your Adhama representative at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Gran Meliá Arusha. Settle in after your journey. Depending on arrival time, enjoy the hotel gardens, dining facilities or views of Mount Meru. Your safari guide will brief you on the journey ahead.
Arusha → Tarangire · Elephant Springs
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a game drive through baobab-dotted savannah and seasonal river country. Wildlife may include elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, wildebeest and predators. Arrive at Elephant Springs and relax in its wilderness setting.
Tarangire → Serengeti · Sametu Camp
Travel toward the Serengeti through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands and conservation area. Enjoy wildlife viewing en route where conditions and timing permit, then continue into the Serengeti. Arrive at Sametu Camp in the central-eastern Serengeti near the Ngarenanyuki River.
Serengeti safari → Mara River Camp
Enjoy a morning game drive before travelling north through the Serengeti toward the Mara River region. This is a long journey, with wildlife viewing along the way depending on movements, road conditions and timing. Arrive at Mara River Camp in the Northern Serengeti. River crossings are seasonal natural events and cannot be guaranteed.
Northern Serengeti → Karatu · Gibb’s Farm
After breakfast, depart the Northern Serengeti for Karatu. This is a very long overland transfer and timing depends on road and park conditions. On arrival, settle into Gibb’s Farm, a peaceful highland retreat known for its gardens, coffee heritage, farm-to-table approach and connection to the local community.
Karatu → Arusha airport or Zanzibar
Enjoy breakfast at Gibb’s Farm, then transfer according to your onward travel plan. Guests continuing to Zanzibar should have flights and connecting transfers confirmed in advance. Adhama will coordinate the agreed departure arrangements.

Add a hot-air balloon safari to your Tanzania experience for an additional USD 598. This activity is optional and is not included in the safari package price. Availability, location, timing and final arrangements should be confirmed before booking.
Important planning notes
- The Day 4 transfer from Sametu Camp to Mara River Camp and Day 5 transfer from Northern Serengeti to Karatu are long. For a more relaxed luxury experience, consider scheduled or charter flights, subject to availability and extra cost.
- Migration sightings and river crossings are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed; the best area depends on travel dates.
- Accommodation, room categories, meals, park fees, guide arrangements and transfers require written confirmation.
- Confirm whether the Day 6 departure is from Arusha Airport, Kilimanjaro International Airport or via a connection to Zanzibar.
