Your Tanzania camping safari with Adhama Africa Adventures begins with a short morning briefing before driving to Tarangire National Park. This beautiful park is known for its vast savannah, iconic baobab trees, and large elephant herds.
Wildlife gathers around the Tarangire River, offering great chances to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and antelopes such as bushbucks and hartebeests. You may also spot unique species like the gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx, while predators like lions are often nearby.
Enjoy the views from your open-roof safari vehicle as you explore the park and observe animals in their natural habitat.
In the late afternoon, you will arrive at a campsite inside the park, where you will spend the night in a tent, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
After breakfast, you will depart from the Tarangire area and travel toward Lake Natron, passing through the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu. The journey follows a scenic but adventurous road along the Great Rift Valley, with views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the sacred “Mountain of God” to the Maasai.
Arrive at the remote village of Ngare Sero, a peaceful oasis surrounded by dramatic landscapes. In the distance, you may see thousands of flamingos creating a pink shimmer across the waters of Lake Natron.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk with a local Maasai guide to a nearby waterfall, where you can relax and take in the natural beauty of the area.
Later, return to your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay under the African sky.
After an early start, you will travel along adventurous dirt tracks, climbing out of the Rift Valley with breathtaking views along the way. By midday, you will arrive at the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations.
The Serengeti, meaning “endless plains” in the Maasai language, offers sweeping savannah landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see. It is home to the world-famous Great Migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras move in search of fresh grazing and water. Enjoy game viewing as you enter the park, with chances to spot a wide range of wildlife across the open plains.
In the evening, you will arrive at a campsite in either the central or northern Serengeti, where you will spend the night surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Today is dedicated to game viewing in Serengeti National Park, giving you plenty of time to explore its incredible wildlife and landscapes.
Depending on your location, you will enjoy either a full-day game drive or morning and afternoon game drives in the famous Seronera area. This region is rich in wildlife and offers excellent chances to spot predators, including lions and the elusive leopard.
From December to May, witness large herds of wildebeests and zebras as part of the Great Migration. Between January and March, you may also see newborn calves and foals, making it a particularly special time to visit.
After an exciting day in the wild, return to your campsite in the Seronera area for dinner and an overnight stay.
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, when wildlife is most active and you may spot species you haven’t seen yet.
After lunch, depart the Serengeti plains and journey toward the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The change in scenery from open savannah to lush green hills is truly remarkable.
Arrive at your campsite located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering breathtaking views over the collapsed volcano below.
End your day with a beautiful sunset and a relaxing sundowner, before settling in for the night on the crater’s edge.
Rise early and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a 600-meter-deep natural wonder known for its incredible wildlife density.
As you explore the crater floor, the scenery shifts from forested slopes to open savannah dotted with acacia trees. This unique ecosystem offers one of the best chances to spot the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard along with zebras, wildebeests, warthogs, hippos, and a rich variety of birdlife.
After an exciting morning game drive and a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will leave the conservation area and travel to the lively village of Mto wa Mbu.
Arrive at your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay, marking the final night of your unforgettable Tanzania camping safari.
After a leisurely breakfast, you will start your return trip to Arusha, where you will arrive around midday. You will be dropped off in the city centre or at the airport, where our best Tanzania camping safari comes to an end.
